Class Description:
Learn the fundamentals of wall cabinet design and construction while making a beautiful and useful small cabinet with two drawers. During the course, you’ll learn how to cut dovetails with a tablesaw, how to cut stopped dadoes with a router, and how to fit a liner inside the cabinet to create a rabbet for the back. The liner is painted with milk paint, so you’ll get a chance to mix and paint with this cool material. After the liner is glued into the cabinet, you’ll make two small drawer. Dovetails join the drawer parts, but the front is covered in a thin, solid-wood veneer. You’ll get to pick the species for your cabinet drawers and color of your liner. The cabinet back is made from ship-lapped slats, and a French cleat hangs it on the wall. Both techniques will be covered during the amazing 5 day course.
