Meredith’s path to the wood shop includes extensive education in design complemented with two years of hands-on skill building. She began in the architecture studio where she earned a bachelors degree and acquired a great appreciation of design’s role in the feeling of comfort and identity in a home. She has since graduated from the North Bennet Street School‘s renowned furniture making program where she gained the skills necessary for building high-quality, long-lasting furniture.
Her design philosophy goes beyond form-follows-function and strives to harmonize the two aspects of a piece as much as possible. Using time-tested joinery techniques and acute attention to detail, Meredith strives to build furniture that feels natural and contemporary while honoring and incorporating traditional forms and innovations.
