Plan Ahead With Trip/Event Insurance

If loss of the class fees would cause financial hardship, we recommend you invest in event/trip insurance to protect your investment.The School does not provide this, but many sources are available on the internet. We encourage you to consider obtaining this at the time of registration.

 

Flights and Hotels

We highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with your hotel and airline refund policy before booking. If possible, avoid booking non-refundable flights and hotels. Austin School of Furniture is not responsible for refunding or compensating you for losses incurred from hotel or airline fees.

 

Cancellations

We understand that cancellations are often the result of difficult circumstances, but the income from classes is used to pay staff, keep the lights on, purchase lumber, compensate instructors and run the business.  We completely empathize, but unlike large corporations, we run on a tighter margin, and the cancellation policy protects the School.  This is why we strongly advocate that if the loss of tuition would cause you financial hardship,  you purchase event ticket/trip insurance.  

 

What Is A Cancellation?

A cancellation is defined as failure or inability or unwillingness to attend all or any part of a class in which the student is enrolled regardless of reason, be it illness, accident, medical-related, death, death of another, auto breakdown, an act of God, weather, epidemic and/or act of another.  The terms of this policy are in effect through the final day of the course.

 

What Is The Cancellation Fee?

All cancellations, regardless of the course value and time of cancellation will be charged a 5% processing fee.

 

When Can I Cancel?

You can cancel at any time, but tuition reimbursement amounts vary depending on when you cancel.

If you cancel:

  • 60 or more days before the class, 100% of your payment will be refunded, less the 5% cancellation fee.
  • 31 – 59 days before the class, 50% of your payment will be refunded, less the 5% cancellation fee. 
  • 0 – 30 days before the class, there are no refunds

 

How Do I Cancel My Class?

You must supply a written cancellation request through this form – Cancellation Request.

Phone calls, texts, and social network comments are not valid cancellation notifications.

 

What happens if we cancel?

In the unlikely chance that the Austin School of Furniture will need to cancel a class itself we will first attempt to reschedule the course. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund to students. If an enrolled student can not attend the rescheduled class, a full refund will also be given. ASF reserves the right to cancel any class and reschedule or not reschedule if the minimum student limit is not met. We will do our best to give students as much notice as possible.

Merchandise

ASF does not offer refunds for tangible products or physical items it sells. Due to the uncertainty of shipping services it is impossible for us to ensure the quality of items upon delivery. Although, we can guarantee that we will do everything in our power to provide high quality goods and high quality services to ship those goods.4
