Class Description:
Hand tools are a fun, quiet and rewarding way to get into woodworking but they can seem intimidating at first. This class is a great way for new woodworkers to learn all about hand tools and get hands-on experience and direct feedback from an experienced hand tool instructor. This class will demystify hand tools and introduce students to basic sharpening, bench chisels, handsaws and a core set of handplanes. We will also discuss the next steps in purchasing hand tools, how to practice at home and what classes to take next. We not be learning to sharpen saw in this particular class, only chisels and plane irons.
