Safety – In this course, the instructor will guide you through essential safety practices, ensuring you can confidently operate the router without compromising your well-being.

Setup and Usage – Learn the intricacies of setting up the router correctly, including selecting and installing bits, adjusting speed settings, and securing workpieces. Discover the multitude of cuts and decorative profiles that can be achieved with this versatile tool.

Joinery – Delve into the world of precision routing techniques, from creating flawless edge profiles and joinery that fits together seamlessly.

Precision – Fine-tuning your router is essential to achieve impeccable results. Our instructors will teach you how to calibrate your machine to ensure consistent precision, making your woodworking projects stand out.

Maintenance – A well-maintained router is a reliable router. Gain the knowledge and skills required to keep your machine in peak condition, prolonging its lifespan and ensuring optimal performance.

Project:
Each student will build a plant stand perfect for a potted house plant. This project revolves around the router but will incorporate other woodworking tools and machines.

 

What to bring:

We have saws, chisels and handplanes for you to try out but we recommend that you bring any hand tools that you currently own.

  • Measuring tape
  • Eye protection (mandatory)
  • Hearing protection (mandatory)
  • Dust protection (mandatory)
  • Water or Snack
