Age: You must be at least 18 years old to participate

Class Description:

A fun project class that teaches the basics of woodworking and furniture making through the construction of a simple stool with a woven seat. This stool is a great first project, holiday gift or addition to any room in your home. This class will cover essential skills used in woodworking and furniture construction as well as introduce shaker tape and several different patterns of weaving. Materials and material cost is included and will be ready and waiting for each student. Students will walk away with their very own stool and will even be able to pick the color of tape.

Select which color you would like at the time of purchase. Colors may vary slightly from images.

What you will learn:

Safety, tool knowledge, woodworking machines and hand tools, milling process, basic joinery, basic shaping, using auxiliary materials, weaving techniques, basic finishing

What to bring:

• Eye protection (mandatory)

• Dust protection (optional)
• Your own tools (optional)
  • Chisels and mallet
  • Hand saws (push, pull, coping)
  • Measuring tools
  • Marking instruments
