Austin School of Furniture is always hiring for new volunteers and instructors. If you are interested in getting involved in some way at the Austin School of Furniture please look through the opportunities below.
We are seeking volunteers to help with various administrative and shop duties.
Do you have an inner teacher that wants to come out, and are you a seeking community of like minded makers to connect with? This is a great volunteer opportunity for those with little to no teaching experience.
The Scholarship Committee will be a separate group of individuals apart from the ASF Staff and Board of Directors. As a member of the Scholarship Committee you will be empowered to divide up scholarship funds, review applications, and determine scholarship awards within a team.
If you have about a year or more of woodworking experience and want to understand more about teaching, then assisting classes is a great way to learn more about furniture making and woodworking education all at once.

We are seeking to add to our core set of local instructors. We are looking for teachers to instructor existing curriculum as well as develop new classes. If you have at least 3+ years of professional woodworking experience then we want to hear from you.
