Chair Making Fundamentals will demystify the process of making a joined side chair. This class will break down what is sometimes seen as a Mount Everest of furniture making into a process that is approachable and applicable to a variety of designs and situations.
Topics covered will range from designing chairs with an emphasis on construction processes, ergonomics, strength, and simplifying complex joinery in an effort to make it easy, predictable and repeatable.
Not only will you walk away with a beautiful traditionally joined chair but you will also leave with the skills and knowledge to confidently tackle many types of chairs and designs in the future.
