Class Description:

In this class, you will learn how to safely use simple hand tools such as rasps, files, carving gouges, hammer and stamps to create surface textures and chip-carving patterns. We will also learn how to use milk-paint for various colorations and learn sophisticated sanding and finishing techniques on wood. By the end of the class, we will turn your many small sample pieces into functioning knobs like drawer pull knobs, coat hanger knobs or, wall hanging decorations and magnets.

 

What you’ll need:

Required

    • Eye Protection
    • Ear Protection
    • Personal angle grinder and Die Grinder with kutzall wheel (optional)
    • Personal Hand rasp and files (optional)
    • Personal U gouge Pfiel #8/18 and Mallet (Optional)
